Men-in-Crisis from broken families need to be heard.

We connect men to local programs and resources to manage this journey to emotional health.

Even strong families get broken or damaged due to circumstances or relationship struggles.

Finding the support to start fresh or continue is often very challenging for men. Physically and emotionally.

Especially if they have their own suppressed or unresolved childhood emotions / stories that cast big shadows over their life.

This is when good friends are vital to our recovery.

**Friends help friends. Its when things get tough that you know who your real friends are. **

Sometimes we even have to leave the old friends that pull us down or not looking out for us, and find new friends.

This takes time and is not an easy process.

**Friends provide comfort, advice, and encouragement, making tough times easier to bear. **

This support strengthens friendships and contributes to mental well-being by creating a sense of belonging and security during life's complexities.

BigJake's Thoughts

We live in a complex world where technology and work stress in the urban rat race is taking its toll on us and our communities.

We had the global pandemic, the supply chain meltdown, financial meltdown, property boom and bust.

War and destruction, global warming, floods and droughts are all over our media. We are fearful of an uncertain future for us and our kids.

Social isolation is huge as we try to cope and the resources especially in the mental health areas are often very stretched.

Help! Who can we talk to to just clear our head space?

My friends / family are sympathetic but they have their own stuff going on.

BigJakeConnects is an attempt to reach out to each other in an honest, no nonsense, respectful manner. Especially when life takes an unexpected jab at us and we feel a bit isolated. You are not alone.

We hope to get your attention and then to follow through and help you build stronger local human connections in your community, whatever that may look like.
