Ok. Let's talk about it.

Death, in human context, is when a person's life ends.

Talking about it more openly is important for mental wellness because it helps us understand and accept this natural part of life.

Sharing our feelings and experiences with others can provide comfort and support during difficult times.

It could be an invitation to have honest conversations, reducing fear and stigma around death, and promoting mental well-being by helping us process our emotions and grief.

Normalizing conversations around death can be positive.

It can help focus you on what is important for you right now and giving more clarity on a path forward.

Why thinking about death helps you live a better life

Why is it so hard to live in the present

BigJake's Thoughts

We are born into this natural world and we will in all probability die in this natural world. The window of opportunity is to live the most purposeful life that you could possibly have between birth and death.

As we get older or as we are made more aware of our mortality, the more we seem reluctant to embrace our fate.

I believe that the fear of death can be a big personal driver for us to get our house sorted out and be ready for death whenever it might come knocking.

Not talking about it or pretending that it will not happen is just denial. Let's embrace death and live the life that we always wanted.

Summary:

Our collective fear of death is a fear of both the known and the unknown

For some people, coming close to death is not the same as giving up on life. Quite the opposite.

Acceptance of death allows us to bring meaning to life.

Death is the only finish line:

There is no arrival. Our arrival comes when we are greeted by death.

As long as we are alive, healing will be an everyday practice, which means there is no perfect start time.

Healing does not have an expiration date or an age requirement. It is never too late to get started on the life you desire. And it is never too late to give yourself the life you think you deserve.

You may not have control over everything, but it is up to you to do better for the person you want to be ten years from now. It is never too late to get up and try one more time.

Healing is the sacred act that is strictly reserved for the living. We have the power to lean into the intricacies of our humanity to build resilience and perseverance.

We do not know what tomorrow brings, but we can choose to stand tall and make today meaningful.

Sometimes we dont live long enough to see the fruits of our labor, but I promise that planting the seed is also good enough. Starting now is good enough.
