How does it work?

PeaceBuilders has a large searchable index of proprietary picture based topic categories, many relating to the expressing and managing of feelings and emotions.

We, the local Service Providers encourage our clients to access PeaceBuilders on their smartphone to use these picture topics to help them identify their most urgent struggle and their readiness for change.

Often this is very beneficial if a client is looking for a service; or while a client is waiting to access a service; or currently is in a support program or service; or have completed a program or service and needs a tool or resource to help them succeed.

What does it cost?

PeaceBuildersNetwork is a non profit organization. Individual clients use the online portal for free and much of the tools and resources have been recommended, updated and/ or donated to the society. All topics, tools and resources will evolve over time as different content is sourced or updated.

Membership?

All Service Provider members pay a nominal annual amount to join the society and become Blue Ribbon members. This gives those members a free line listing within the Connect Locally link as a local service resource in their specific city or town and voting at the annual society AGM.

Orange Ribbon membership is similar to Blue Ribbon membership, except it has a monthly subscription component that presents category specific advertising space. The revenue generated from this is primarily to build, maintain and grow the PeaceBuilders portal and services. Paid subscription advertising will start once the pilot project has been completed.

This gives the society the possibility to be self funded, neutral and facilitate more diverse thoughts and opinions without prejudice or judgment. It will also help us focus on providing a valuable, comprehensive, support service to all local Service Providers.

Pilot project?

The PeaceBuilders portal is a pilot project and will initially only be focused on Service Providers in the Fraser Valley in BC, Canada. We hope to envite all service providers in the local communities to collabarate as a team to help address some of the the percieved needs around the emotional struggles of men.

Social?

PeaceBuilders recognizes that many of our clients might feel a bit isolated as they navigate their particualar mental health journey. We now offer a regular drop in, peer to peer, local social connecting point where guys can just hang out and connect. See our https://bigjakeconnects.org/topic/local-dads and /or https://www.meetup.com/bigjake-connects-meetup-group/

Blog?

PeaceBuilders hopes to add a topic specific real time blog that will be moderated and facilitated by our own team as soon as there is available funding. This will give clients an additional platform to express their feelings and be heard.

Values?

The PeaceBuildersNetwork acknowledges that we as the community all have different voices and a need to be heard and understood, as we share our stories with each other as a compassionate society that cares. We are working to clearly identify and communicate what PeaceBuilders core values will be as we as more Service Providers join this community innitiative.
